CONSULTATION ON THE FUTURE OF BRAMALL HALL AND PARK
Please visit the Bramall Park stand between 10am and 3pm to give your views on its future development
Stockport Council is carrying out an extensive consultation to give people the opportunity to learn about plans and comment on future proposals for improvements to the historic hall and park.
The Council is at the early stages of developing proposals to improve Bramall hall and park. A key priority is to develop a holistic and sustainable vision to guide the future management of the site.
Specialist conservation consultants Donald Insall Associates have been appointed to produce a Conservation Management Plan for the hall and park.
The hall is one of the best timber framed houses in the country, and is set amongst 70 acres of beautiful parkland. It is extremely well used by school groups, hosts a range of events including concerts and open air theatre and can be booked for weddings and conferences.
The management of the hall and park is well supported by an active Friends group who arrange task days and events within the park.
Councillor John Smith Executive Member for Leisure, said: “I would encourage residents to take part in this important consultation on the future of one of Stockport best loved tourist attractions. This is a very good opportunity to see how this site and be used and enjoyed more widely by all sections of the community across the borough and beyond.”
